Photopolymer Stamps have arrived :)

So, you might of heard of Photopolymer Stamps before? They have been available for a while in the US Stampin’ Up offering for a little while. Well they are now coming to the UK! And it’s available from today :)

The Photopolymer stamps are clear stamps and can be used with any of the Stampin' Up! Clear Acrylic Blocks. Because they are transparent they can used without the need for a guide or Stamp-a-ma-jig.

There will a number of sets available to purchase in the next Annual Catalogue which is released July 1st. But in May, for every £60.00 spent (on any Stampin' Up! products, and excluding P & P) you will be able to choose a set for FREE.

You will have the choice of the following four. Please note that these sets will only be available in May on a while stocks last basis so place your £60 or more order soon to avoid being disappointed:

Project Life - Coming to Stampin' Up!

Stampin' Up have released some exciting news... They have teamed up to bring Project Life to the next annual catalogue that will be released on 1 July. Project Life is a new scrapbooking system that is relatively new to the UK market. Project Life was started by Becky Higgins and it is a fantastically simple way of scrapbooking without having to go through a long thought out process.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8r2VmVJ2Zk&feature=youtu.be

If you are not a scrapbooker or haven't heard of Project Life and are wondering what it is all about - it's simply a scrapbooking system that is both affordable and simple to do. You slot your photos into Photo Pocket Pages and add cards and other items to the other pockets to decorate or journal. This means you will have more time to make those memories rather than scrapbook them.

I'm really looking forward to seeing whats on offer and it will be available before the new catalogue launches and when I know a date I will let everyone know. So watch this space!

Craft Fairs Update

So it’s the long Easter weekend coming up and I’d thought I’d give an update on some of the things I’ve been doing. So first off back in March – I had a stall at the Hatch Warren Craft Fair; where I met a few people who are interested in attending card/paper craft classes or just looking to purchase from Stampin’ Up… which is great.

The lovely Fiona Whitten – from Oakfield Crafts, let me borrow her display board and banner :) So all, in all it was a great set up and a very busy fair.

At the beginning of April, I attended a craft fair at Bishops Waltham – Unfortuantly, the weather was against us and there was very little footfall :( But as they say it’s all an experience and gave me some ideas of products that I’m missing in my current offer.

However the following day after the Bishops Waltham fair, my car was parked up outside a friend’s house and was written off by a speeding driver – who hadn’t noticed my car parked on the road under a lamp post. Life really does give you curveballs sometimes and my Stampin Up catalogues got crushed in the process!

So since then I’ve been preparing for my next fair which is in my village, Hook on the 19th April - Dolly’s Vintage Easter Craft Fair, Elizabeth Hall. Which I’m looking forward too!

Luckily, for me a local demo was putting in a demo order in last weekend and very helpfully has got me some replacement catalogues for this upcoming event :)
If you’re local to Basingstoke why not pop down – I will have a selection of Easter cards, treat pouches, Greeting Cards for a range of occasions and my new line of home décor items such as candle wraps, table centre pieces.

Introducting - Weekly Deals from Stampin' Up!

Each Wednesday in April, we’ll be bringing you a new set of deals on a selection of fantastic products. Be sure to check back each week to see what’s on sale either via this blog or my demonstrator website!

This weeks Deals available: 16th – 22nd April

Sincerley Yours Bracknell - Sun 23rd Feb 2014

Had a great time at the Sincerely Yours Papercraft show down in Bracknell on the Stampin’ Up! stand – we had lots of ladies come over to do the Make and Takes, enter the prize draw and browse the samples we had out on display.

We had a lot of ladies enter our prize draw and following the show we asked one of the offer stall/stand holders to pick out a name from our box.
Zoe Hailey from Barkham was our winner. Congratulations to her!

I demonstrated the envelope punch board during the show and showed how it can be used for more than envelopes.
Below are a few pictures from the stand.

Monthly Stamp Set Showcase - January

Welcome to my first Stamp Set Showcase; from now on once a month I will be showcasing a card or other type of project using the set plus with instructions for making the project.

To kick it off for the Month of January, I will be showcasing the Wildflower Meadow Stamp Set. This was one of the first stamp sets I bought from the Annual Catalogue due to the fact it also has a matching embossing folder.

In the project below I have paired it up to create a raised effect on the wildflowers. There is many different ways on how you could colour the stamp such as Markers or even using ink refills and a damp baby wipe to create a marbled effect.

Design ©Natasha Hart 2014

To make this card:
Card Stock - Coastal Cabana & Smoky Slate
Ink - Versamark & Whisper White Craft Stampin' Pad
Stamp Sets - Wildflower Meadow & Petite Pairs
Embossing Folder - Wildflower Meadow Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
Other - Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder, Snail & Dimentionals
Tools - Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Big Shot & Heat Gun

Tutorial/Instructions

Preparing your cardstock - First get an A4 sheet of Coastal Cabana, cut it in half width ways at 14.9cm (5.9inches) then fold in half. Then prepare the card front in Smoky Slate (14cm by 10.1cm)
For the greeting cut a scrap of Coastal Cabana at 5cm by 2.1cm

Preparing the card front - Ink up the Wildflower Meadow Stamp using the White Craft Stampin' Pad (Tip: Lay the Stamp on your workspace then apply the ink; you will get a more even coverage), once you've made sure the stamp is easily covered; grab the smoky slate card front. With the stamp laying on your workspace, place the piece of card on the upturned stamp making sure to align the image so it will be centred. Either using a brayer or your fingers place pressure to get a good transfer of ink then remove the piece of card. Once you've done this you can then grab the matching embossing folder place your image in the folder and align the wildflowers to where they are meant to be. Then run it through your Big Shot/Die Cutting machine.

Preparing the greeting - With your pre-cut piece grab the Best Wishes greeting from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set; ink up the stamp with Versamark. Align then stamp out the greeting; with the embossing powder sprinkle it over then tap of any excess back into the pot. With the heat gun melt the powder until it merges. Then, with paper snips (or a square punch) cut out a V shape on the left hand side.

Putting the card together - Use Snail/double sided tape to adhere the card front to the base card then with dimentionals adhere the greeting in the bottom right hand corner

You then have the finished card, this will fit in a C6/Medium Envelope. Plus you could do it in different colour ways to suit your tastes or current crafting supplies.

Cards for Friends & Family

Now that Christmas has been and gone. I thought it would be nice to show off a few cards I made for sending to friends and family…

I must admit I took inspiration from Pinterest, as these were my first ever handmade Christmas cards that I have ever made and I must say I just love Pinterest! If you would like to follow my pins and board just click HERE

So on to the cards...
Christmas Tree Card

Christmas Baubles Card

Reindeer in Snow Card
Ho Ho Ho Santa Card
Santa Joy Card

Santa in Snow Card

The most popular cards not surprisingly were the ones made with the Color Me Christmas Stamp Set; which I really love and is still available until 27th January to purchase through me directly or online HERE

I'm finding I'm really into the water colouring technique now and its very on trend - more to come on that techniques in the next few weeks.

Moving away from cards I made these cute little favour parcels made out of just Designer Series Paper(DSP) from the holiday occasions catalogue and the Envelope Punch Board - see below at the end of this post.

Right now on to the crafting… so back in December I held my first stall at a local Christmas Craft Fair. It was a really great experience, learnt a lot and I cant wait to do it again in the future! Here is a close up shot of cards I'd made to sell plus us still in the throws of setting up!

I was there to advertise Stampin' Up! and also sell some of my creations - plus I learnt less is more as I know realise it was just all far too much on there! Sure one day I will do 'how not to do a craft stall 101'

All in all it was successful.

In my next blog post I will be showing you a few cards I made for the stall which I also sent to friends and family as cards.

Happy Stampin!
